Submission Content
I strongly support a form of proportional representation [PR]. It is totally illogical that the present government of Liberals in BC has almost all the seats in the Legislature with less than 60% of the popular vote. We need something that better represents the over 40% of the population who voted for parties other than the Liberals. I understand that one of the systems being examined is a "Mixed Member Proportional Representation". Variants of this system are used in many places around the world and I think we should develop a system based on this model.

I also am opposed to the "Preferential Plus" system being proposed which advocates different systems for urban and rural areas of BC. This does not make sense at all. I am an ex-urbanite living in a rural area, along with many others who are leaving the cities. We want our votes to be treated the same wherever we choose to live.
