Abstract

MMP gives people a vote for both a local representative and a
vote for the party of their choice. It is more appealing to women,
is less complex, more proportional and more fair than the STV

We strongly support and recommend the Citizens' Assembly decide
on the mixed member proportional representation
[MMP] system. The MMP gives people a vote for both a
local representative and a vote for the party of their choice. It
is more appealing to women. It is less complex, more proportional
and more fair than the STV system. For these and other reasons we
hope you will decide that the MMP system is best for us as a
province and as a country.
We regret that this submission is late but we have been on
vacation and only returned last evening.
