I am unable at this last minute to make a detailed presentation
but I would like to make my preference for electoral reform known
and hope that it will count for something when the Assembly is
considering its recommendation. Having read many of the submissions
I would hope the Assembly chooses to promote some form of
proportional representation [PR], looking to the models that have
been most successful in achieving the aims of electoral reform such
as Sweden.
As a citizen of rural BC I would be appalled if the
Preferential-Plus option or Single transferable vote
[STV] were considered. Either oif those
systems would only continue to marginalize and disenfranchise a
large number of citizens. Thank you for your
