Abstract
There should be a specified minimum time for party membership before members can vote in the selection of a candidate, instead of last minute mass sign up. I would like to be able to rank the candidates 1, 2, and perhaps 3. [1 page]

Submission Content
The first item I think should be addressed is the method by which potential candidates are selected. How can we avoid mass singe up by groups, many of which perhaps are not citizens of Canada and are not eligible to vote in an election.

There should also be a specified minimum time for party membership before members can vote in the selection of a candidate, instead of last minute mass sign up.

Members of a political party would not be overwhelmed by the last minute rush as has happened in a number of areas recently.

Second, I would like to vote with a choice of, one, two, or in some cases three [preferential voting, AV].
