Submission Content
We, the people of British Columbia, agree to and propose a system of voting for our representatives, parties, and for government that is fair, and avoids wastage of voting privileges through a lack of choice because of party size.  That is to enhance the importance of the popular vote.

We, the people, wish to see more in the way of checks and balances than those
existing with the FPTP (First Past The Post) system as it exists presently; which distorts the will of the electorate resulting in a lack of representation in toto within the government.  We need to see in operation a more holistic view of the final Assembly which mirrors the voting population .

We, the people,  wish to see an end to adversarial politics in favour of a more: compassionate, consensual, cooperative government.  (The best example of this has been seen in the history of parliament when a minority government had to work together with the opposition  for the benefit of the society i.e. British Columbians.)

We, the people , wish to widen the scope and education of the voting population to encourage all to be a part of their own government (even, perhaps, Australian-style, to make the vote a compulsory duty of the citizenship.!!)

We, the people, want to see a transparency in the run up to the elections in that no candidate is accepting monies from special interest groups, corporations or block voters, and that a cap be placed on donations from individuals.

We, the people, need to see our own British Columbian Constitution which mirrors our own provincial society as it exists today;   and that this Constitution flows naturally from the Federal Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and is implemented by a truly democratic government  which is constantly accountable to its citizenship while in the legislature. This means a built-in recall system which is readily available and authentic.
