Abstract

If we want to call ourselves a democracy, than minority
interests need representation too, and currently, they can not get
it by voting. Please vote for change. [1 page]

All arguments I have heard in favour of maintaining a FPTP
system have come from those who are well off in society and their
arguments stink of self interest, if they make sense at all. As a
member of the youth demographic who do not come out to vote in
large numbers, I personally have voted in every election since I
have come of age and have never seen my vote count for anything, so
I am not sure why I bother and I see why others don't. If we want
to call ourselves a democracy, than minority interests need
representation too, and currently, they can not get it by voting.
Please vote for change.
