I support proportional representation [PR] for the electoral system in BC and indeed for all of Canada. I believe it would be a much fairer representation of the population and that voters would participate more actively. [1 page]

I support proportional representation [PR] for the electoral system in BC and indeed for all of Canada. I believe it would be a much fairer representation of the population and that voters would participate more actively, and feel more heard by their governing body. As it stands, people feel that their vote doesn't count and that very important decisions are being made for the province and for the country which are opposed to all our principles. The system as used in many European countries seems to work well, where approximately half of the seat are directly voted in and half are awarded according to percentage of votes.
