Abstract
I am strongly in favour of an electoral system that features direct proportionality (the number of seats a party gets provincially is in proportion to the number of votes they get).  The best system to model ours after is an MMP system. [1 page]

Submission Content
I understand that today is the deadline for submissions to the Citizen's Assembly.  I did present my views about a number of electoral issues at the Lillooet CA forum in June, however please accept this confirmation that I am strongly in favour of an electoral system that features direct proportionality (the number of seats a party gets provincially is in proportion to the number of votes they get).  The best system to model ours after, I think, is a New Zealand Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) system with the key improvements noted in the Free Your Vote Spring 2004 publication "Help Make BC's Voting System Fair; Participate Now in the Citizen's Assembly on Electoral Reform".
