Abstract

The MMP system would be fairer than the current first
past the post system, and also relatively simple. The
party lists should be open so voters can select the best person in

I am very excited about this Citizens' Assembly as a new way to
change how governments work
Out of all of the systems proposed I believe the best system
would be a mixed proportional [MMP] system. This would be more fair
than the current first past the post system, but also relatively
simple, unlike some of the other proposals. I think the party lists
should be open lists so voters can select the best person in the
party, not the party determining the rankings themselves.
