My recommendation and hope is for a new electoral system. The
system that I would like to see in place is a mixed member
proportional system (MMP). This would ensure that the number of
seats granted to a party was indeed reflective of the level of
support they garnered in the voting process, while ensuring that
consituencies still have a point person that is responsible to
them.
Failing that, an alternative proportional representation system
would be favorable to the status quo.
