Abstract
I would like to see a system such as New Zealand’s Mixed Member Proportional (MMP), one where fewer votes are wasted and smaller parties can win seats, giving a variety of opposition voices.  [1 page]

Submission Content
I believe that there must be a change in the way we elect politicians in BC, as our current First-past-the-post (FPTP) is: unfair to voters, distorts power, leads to wild swings in government and legislation, encourages adversarial politics and discourages voter participation.

I would like to see a system such as New Zealand’s Mixed Member Proportional (MMP), one where fewer votes are wasted and smaller parties can win seats, giving a variety of opposition voices.

I am tired and disgusted with BC politics and politicians and I believe that my province is being ruined by this current system and its unaccountability.  Let’s change the system, for the better, now.
