I would like to offer my strong support to the assembly for considering a proportional representation electoral system.

My personal preference is the MMP (New Zealand) model. I feel it is the most appropriate system for our province because it is reasonably uncomplicated and would maintain an adequate rural representation.

I do not want to vote strategically anymore. I've voted for the "lesser of two evils" because I knew that a vote from my heart would be wasted. A proportional representation system will allow myself and many others to vote the way we truly want, and know that we will have representation in the legislature.

98% of the seats with 58% of the vote is a result we can no longer afford if democracy is to regain the respect and trust it needs to truly serve its citizens.
